Stop Stopping Yourself

We tell ourselves so much that stops us from living the life we really want. Greg Braden writes that our lives are based on what we believe. Belief comes before action. He writes, “We live our lives based on what we believe about our world, ourselves, our capabilities, and our limits.” But what if the beliefs we have come to accept are wrong? What if we are much more powerful than we have accepted?
We need to begin trusting ourselves. Rather than worrying about what may or may not happen we must begin to trust that our lives are unfolding in divine perfection and we have the power to co create with Spirit exactly what we would like to experience. Eckhart Tolle writes, “Life will give you whatever experience is most helpful for the evolution of your consciousness. How do you know this is the experience you need? Because this is the experience you are having at the moment.”
Any time we experience growth we will be moving out of our comfort zone. Our life purpose is to keep growing. When we cling to what we know it’s usually out of fear. We need courage. You can’t have courage without fear. Courage comes from facing down our fears.
Steven Diamond writes that it takes courage to do almost any human activity, whether it’s committing to a relationship or separating from our parents. It also takes courage to be who we are to express our innermost self. Are you more committed to your dream or your present reality? If it’s your dream prove it by acting on it. Choose a belief that moves it forward. Remember your history isn’t your destiny. Just because you have never done something doesn’t mean you will never do it or you can’t do it. Mary Mannion Morrisey teaches if we believe our dream can happen we can ask the question, “If I believed it could happen what would I do?” In other words if I believe in my dream what next step can I take to bring it to reality. When I take that step I am rising above the reality I am in and moving to a new vibration with the universe.
Our beliefs are powerful. Bruce Lipton says they can override our genes. We can alter our genetic structure by how we think about ourselves and our place in life. The key to controlling our outer lives is controlling our inner lives. As Ernest Holmes teaches, “Change your belief and you can change your world.”
